John and his family had booked a bareboat charter in the Caribbean. They wanted to brush up on their skills before flying out.
“Hi Simon. We had a great time with you on Emma. It was very helpful to get us all together and refresh our skills before setting off for Tortola. Our boat handling confidence was much higher.
“Thank you very much for running such an excellent course. It was really good shaking out some of the rust from past knowledge and I feel really inspired to do the Day Skipper course
A belated thank you note for an excellent couple of days cruising last month. We did what we safely could in the conditions and the girls now know what daddy gets up to in his spare time! Kitty based her school project on the trip (see attached) and Lorraine is up for a gentle Med flotilla in the sunshine. I’m keen to get back up to Coastal Skipper standard and become a Yachtmaster in time.
Thanks too for the latest news letter. The seafood trip looks awesome – sadly I cannot join you this year.
All the best”
‘We had a fantastic day when we went out for my 30th birthday. simon was wonderful company and an excellent teacher, and Wings is a great vessel to learn on. We’ll certainly be back!”
Lexi bought Al a day’s sailing as a surprise birthday present!
“Did my RYA Coastal Skipper Practical. I was very impressed with the organisation. The boat was fantastic and the standard of instruction was really excellent. Simon has obviously been instructing for a long time and his easygoing and calm attitude really made a difference. We had a good mix of crew, from Day Skipper to Competent crew. I’ve been sailing for a number of years and this course really gave me a lot of insight into the practicalities of skippering. Sailing in the Thames Estuary gives you lots of opportunities to put into practical use the theory you worked so hard on. Great course, great boat and great instructor.
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for our great sailing afternoon. We all enjoyed it and will definately be back in touch to book another sail. Charlie loved helping on the ropes, Millie felt very much at home – sleeping 80% of it and Daisy loved playing captain. Guy just adores the sea and as for me, I’ve now got over my phobia of boats!!
We all agreed it was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, made all the more pleasurable by your hospitality and guidance.
Happy sailing and best wishes”
“Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the most fantastic days’ sailing last week. Bruce is totally converted and has talked of little else since!! As you may have noticed, I was happy as a clam all day!
Will promote your business to anyone who stands still for long enough!
Again very many thanks.”
“Dear Simon and Keith,
Thank you so much for a terrific day. We were very lucky to sail on a beautiful yacht and with such an experienced skipper. It was brilliant fun, and personally I absolutely loved learning the ropes (or the sheets!). I’m sure we’ll be in touch again for another sail with friends. Take care.
All the best”
“We all had a brilliant time – it reminded me of how lovely and relaxing it is to be on the water.”
“Thank you very much indeed for such an excellent week – absolutely outstanding. Having only two students on the course was super from our perspective (though not for you) as it meant we had more opportunities to learn and also be tested. Thank you too for your guidance and you experience which were so generously given.
